Dental implants in Rosebank, Melrose and Illovo
The corridor from Rosebank through Melrose and Illovo holds the second-largest cluster of implant-capable practices we found in Johannesburg. Here is what that means in practice.
A second cluster of practices
Google Maps practice listings we reviewed on 12 October 2026 showed a second dense group of practices advertising implant treatment around Rosebank, with more in Melrose and along the roads towards Illovo and Sandton. Practices in this corridor commonly list several neighbouring suburbs as their service area, which shows that patients here move between suburbs for treatment rather than staying within one.
The corridor sits between the Sandton cluster to the north-east and the older central suburbs to the south, so people living here often have practices within reach in more than one direction.
Getting to appointments
Rosebank has a Gautrain station, and Melrose Arch sits beside the M1. For a treatment that needs many visits, public transport and highway access are worth weighing, particularly for the appointments where you can drive yourself. On the day of surgery, or if sedation is used, you will usually be asked to arrange someone to take you home.
Illovo and Hyde Park
Illovo and Hyde Park lie between Rosebank and Sandton. We have not published separate pages for them yet, because we could not source enough specific, independent information about implant treatment in those suburbs to say anything useful. Rather than publish a page with nothing true to say, we have left them out for now. The treatment pages and the Rosebank, Melrose and Sandton pages apply equally to people living there.

Frequently asked questions
Why is there no Illovo page?
We publish a suburb page only when we can say something specific and sourced about it. We have not yet been able to do that for Illovo or Hyde Park.
Is Rosebank close to the Sandton practices?
Yes. Rosebank and Sandton are a short distance apart and linked by the Gautrain, so people in this corridor can reach practices in either cluster.
Do you list practices in Rosebank?
No. We do not list, rank or recommend practitioners. Contact your own dentist or a practice directly.
