The largest cluster in the metro

In the Google Maps listings we reviewed on 12 October 2026, more practices advertising dental implant treatment sat within a few kilometres of the Sandton CBD than anywhere else in Johannesburg. Many are in office towers and medical suites around the CBD, which reflects a patient base of people who work in the area as well as those who live nearby.

For a patient, the practical meaning is choice. You are likely to find several practices within reach, and it is reasonable to have an assessment at more than one before deciding. We do not rank or recommend any of them.

Fitting treatment into a working day

If you work in Sandton, it can be tempting to choose a practice near the office. That works well for short reviews. For the day of surgery, consider whether you will want to return to work, and whether you will be able to drive if sedation is used. Many practices ask that someone collects you after sedation.

The Gautrain station in Sandton and the many office car parks make the CBD easier to reach than its traffic suggests, but parking in medical suites is often paid. Ask the practice about parking when you book.

The next step is an assessment by a dentist

Only a dentist who examines you, with X-rays or a scan, can say whether an implant is suitable and what it would involve. Start with your own dentist. If you do not have one, read what an implant assessment covers and what to take with you.
