A northern node with fewer implant practices

Fourways has general dental practices, but the Google Maps listings we reviewed on 12 October 2026 showed fewer practices there advertising implant treatment, and less listing activity around them, than in Sandton or Rosebank. That is not a judgement of any practice. It means that people in Fourways weighing implant treatment often look at practices further south as well as nearby.

Fourways has grown fast as a residential area, with many estates and complexes, and the main routes south, William Nicol Drive and Witkoppen Road, carry heavy peak-hour traffic.

Near or far: the trade-off

A practice nearer home is easier for the many short visits that implant treatment involves. A practice further away might be chosen for other reasons. Neither is right for everyone. Ask each practice how many visits your plan involves, which ones are long, and whether follow-up reviews can be shared with your own dentist.

Frequently asked questions

Are there implant practices in Fourways?

Yes, but fewer advertise implant treatment than in Sandton or Rosebank, based on the listings we reviewed.

Should I travel to Sandton instead?

That is your decision. We do not recommend practices or areas. Consider the number of visits and ask your own dentist.

Can follow-up visits be closer to home?

Sometimes. Ask whether your own dentist can see you for reviews and how the practices will share records.

The next step is an assessment by a dentist

Only a dentist who examines you, with X-rays or a scan, can say whether an implant is suitable and what it would involve. Start with your own dentist. If you do not have one, read what an implant assessment covers and what to take with you.
